What we collect
OC-CA uses two tools to understand how visitors use the site:
- Google Analytics 4 — standard anonymous usage data including pages visited, device type, and approximate geographic region.
- Self-hosted visitor log — basic request data used for traffic analysis and security. Server logs may include your IP address, approximate city (derived via a third-party IP geolocation service), browser and device info, the page you visited, and the referring page.
Server log data is kept for up to 90 days, then deleted.
Form submissions
When you use the Submit an Event or Suggest a Place forms, we collect only the information you choose to provide. That data is used solely to review and, if appropriate, publish your listing. We don't use it for marketing or share it with anyone.
What we don't do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We are not in the business of tracking individuals across the web.
External links
OC-CA links to external sites — ticket vendors, venue pages, event organizers, and official government sources. Once you leave our site, their own privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for how third parties handle your data.
